The Invisible Book Signing

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

Once upon a time there was a young royal scribe, a joint heir with the King of Kings. This humble scribe decided it would be great to have a book signing in the kingdom’s public library. She worked to reach her readers. She called for the royal announcer to blow his horn publicly so readers far and wide would hear the news. She sent out invitational announcement to nurses Arkansas personal injury attorneys out the royal kingdom.

For many days she prepared for the 4 hour event.

The day arrived and she and her husband traveled to the near kingdom city. When they arrived at the royal library the royal librarian was not very receptive, but cordial. No posters could be put up to announce the event. It must have been a king’s decree across the land. The couple went to the room at the top of the stairs, set up the books and free giveaways, but alas, no one came.

The husband felt sorry for the scribe so he picked her a royal bouquet from the library garden. The guards were unaware.

The scribe picked a book off the shelf and began to read; the husband went outside on the beautiful day and cleaned the carriage. Waiting, and waiting, finally her two greatest fans arrived. Her parents, who also traveled far for the event.

Together they waited until their royal bellies started to growl. They loaded up and went to the local International House of Pancakes and had ummy pancakes and a very nice visit.

The parents and the husband were afraid that the scribe would be disappointed. But, lo and behold, she wasn’t. She thought it funny that she gave a party and no one came. As she ate her pancakes it occurred to her that this must be a royal rite of passage for scribes. She counted it all joy.

After the couple had gotten back to their humble abode in the forest the messenger rang. Her Daddy had stopped at the royal Wal-Mart where their cousin is the manager. Her parents were in need of a new coffee brewing pot and were able to visit with the cousin who was working. The cousin was happy to find out that his cousin was a published scribe. Her Daddy was happy to give him a card for the scribe.

The cousin sent message to the scribe and ordered a book for his sister who is studying to be a nurse. The scribe told him that she would bring it to him on Monday after the Sabbath on Sunday.

The scribe had an idea. What if she can get her royal cousin to stock the book in his royal Wal-Mart?

So she sat down and wrote a message to her royal writing group, Boston personal injury attorney Rise Writers, asking them to pray to the King of Kings that this might come to pass if it be His Will.

The moral of the story is: Count it all joy.

(Well ain’t that the silliest thing you have ever read?)

2008 Trends in Book Publishing

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

The book publishing industry has surely changed over auto insurance rate years. Many self publishing schemes that were thought to revolutionize the industry failed to materialize. There have also been several controversial issues with the Internet and copyrights where Google and Microsoft were scanning out of print books to place online. Google also took flak for posting parts of books online, but not the entire book for folks to get an idea of what the work was about.

Barnes and Noble canceled or rather highly modified their innovation in self-publishing, finding that books on demand, or printing on demand books from obscure authors left them without significant profits. Some of this is still being done, even though it was assumed that it would take hold and compete directly with online eBook websites starting to take their toll on big book retailers.

Indeed, iUniverse Publishing appeared to really shake things up, but the Kentucky motorcycle accident attorneys simply did not take hold. Does this mean such a strategy is completely dead in the water? No, but it shows that some things are slow to change and perhaps it was ahead of its time and folks did not fully understand it. Meaning we will see more of this in the future and it may very well be the next wave in self-publishing (with a little help).

This trend coupled with the Sony Reader and other new innovations made to compete with it are of interest and also poised to save a few trees. Many of these new electronic readers will allow downloading of eBooks in various formats or actual popularized books at a reduced volume discount. Does that mean books are dead? No, not yet, but surely just like the modern day newspapers, that day is coming. Think on this.

Challenge Yourself To Break Away From Tradition

The challenge of self-employment can be overwhelming to a person who has always worked for someone else. The very idea of self-employment sends ripples of fear and anxiety into the heart of traditional workers. Traditional people do not seriously think about stepping into the unfamiliar world of self-reliance. Most people are very comfortable and thrive in the traditional workforce. Simply put, most people are follows who don’t want to be independent. Society has spawn a compliant workforce that happily does its bidding. Most people are followers, “wage earners” and do not desire freedom or seek the complexities of self-employment. They don’t have the courage nor persistence to break away from the mold and become anything different.

Is Job security a plus?

Average people are obedient to traditional ideas and will not break from civil boundaries. The comfort of following becomes their life’s compliancy. The tried and proven formula is: “a job equals a paycheck equals security equals satisfaction.” consolidate school loans main objective is to pay the bills, not their job or independence. When a person becomes complacent, he/she loses the motivation to excel or expand. His/her expectant perception becomes narrow and predictable and he/she settles into a mental daze. As the self is subdued, attention is given to the material world stimulus such as TV, hobbies or seeking relationships. That small creative fire within that could have been a roaring fire, grows cold and eventually goes out.

Why be self-employed?

Why would anyone want to be self-employed? Isn’t working for someone else less risky and just plain easier? Quite possibility it is easier and more reliable working for someone else. But that is no consolation for some of us, we must step outside the box to find and experience a real life experience. It’s not about freedom, no one is truly free, it’s about the challenge and satisfying an inner urge for living life to its fullest. It’s about an adrenalin rush in the risk and facing life in a whole new dimension. And in the end, it’s about finding your true self.

Find a suitable profession

Unless you are an inventor or super smart, you will become self-employed doing something that many have tried and proven in the past. Perhaps your approach may be personalized, but in the end your product or service has already been done, many times over. But, there is one big difference between you and others that have gone before you and that ingredient that magic pill that spawns greatness is . . . You! You are the factor in the success formula. The depth of your endeavor depends on your ability to perform. You must prepare to dedicate yourself for battle by making certain you can face the challenges ahead.

Believe in yourself

Your core beliefs must be high spirited and executed with confidence. Like an Olympian trains for the game, if you are to be a contender, you must also train for success. Success only come to those who pay the price for it. You must sacrifice yourself to the intensity of the challenge. Being adequately prepared could be the difference between success and failure.

What turns a person away from a traditional job and toward self discovery? Many times it’s need. The need to fulfill a requirement, desire or pressure from his/her environment. Most often when there is pressure for money, most people will get a part time job to fill their need. They get the mindset that they need extra money over and above what their current job provides. They don’t think of a complete change in venue.

The fact is, if you have an independent spirit, you will never be satisfied working for someone else. You will constantly be dissatisfied and have a feeling of incompleteness. Your spirit will demand more of you and until you comply, you will never be settled.

Meet the challenge head on

The challenge is not what you are going to do, it’s “if” and “how” you are going to do it. First off, choose something you can do. Don’t worry about loving it and all that junk, just find something you can be productive in. You’re going to be competing with other people, no matter how you look at it, so choose and get started.

Hone your peoples skills

People have a lot of choices and thus far none have been for you. They want quality, low price and most of all, someone they can trust. Build confidence through mannerisms and by being professional and standing by your word. Always treat your customer like a respected equal. Build solid relationships and your customers will refer you to their other acquaintances which is called, “center of influence” marketing.

There’s nothing to it but to do it!

The mechanics of starting a home based business are all pretty much the same. Just follow protocol and lean heavily on your own expertise.

Happy Trails

Advanced Pool Design For Professional Swimmers

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Professional swimmers enjoy the water just like everyone else. The one exception is Erectile Dysfunction they crave being in the water and enjoy nothing more than a good, rigorous swim. That being said when choosing a pool design, it is important to realize that professional swimmers van insurance need a differently designed pool than those who simply want a pool for relaxation and summertime enjoyment. Professional swimmers typically have pools that are located indoors. This gives mesothelioma symptom the ability to swim every day, no matter what season and no matter what the weather may have in store.

Professional swimmers may soon find that simple and traditional backyard swimming pools just do not offer what they need. Sport swimming has many requirements, one of which is lap swimming. Although there are several pool designs that will allow for lap swimming, many pro swimmers choose to purchase pools that are specifically designed for swimming laps. These lap pools are somewhat more expensive than traditional pools but do allow for a longer lap than many in ground or above ground pools.

Typically those who enjoy swimming as a profession choose in ground swimming pool designs. This is simply because many above ground pools are too small for the required daily laps that professional swimmers must maintain. If you are interested in an above ground pool, you can find longer ones available or speak with a pool contractor about building one to your exact specifications.

Again, in ground pools offer a much greater length that works best for professional swimmers. Although, there are design software programs available that will allow you to design your own pool to your own specifications. Typically in ground pools run from sixteen to even fifty feet in length. Olympic sized pools, although normally found in the public realm, have been installed in many homes to allow for the size requirement for pro swimmers. Again, these pools do tend to be much more expensive than traditional backyard pools.

As far as the design of the pool itself, pro swimmers typically need a rectangular shape in their swimming pools. This is because of the laps that they must swim. It simply does not make sense to swim repeated laps in a round swimming pool. The rectangular shape allows for them to swim the length of the pool as per their daily lap requirements.

Of course you can always head to your local public pool to make your required daily laps. This however can be a difficult task especially during the summer months when nearly everyone in your local area will be heading to the pool for a refreshing swim. A better way is to have your own pool designed. If you are unsure of the needed length and overall size of your pool for professional swimming, you can search online or talk with your pool contractor to inquire about the average length and size of pools for professional swimmers.

Although nearly everyone loves to laze in the pool or play water games, professional swimmers need to be in the pool daily to ensure that they stay in shape and keep themselves finely tuned for their competitions. Fastest, Easiest Way to Make Money - The 3 Step Trick

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

The 3 step trick was coined 3 years ago by one of my students to describe a strategy I had developed for him in solving a very pertinent and pressing problem. Peter Hemming was my client and as a life coach I had explored his current position and his options. This led to what he donned the 3 step trick.

Peter’s problem was that he lacked the capital to set up shop in a down town office. He was a creative type and his work as a copy writer was although enjoyable for him, though not very lucrative. Over the meetings we had it came out that Peter should indeed move closer to where the potential clients are, the advertising agencies. He was working from home from the kitchen table and this hardly gave him the professional image he required.

The cost to set up shop down town where all the work was would cost over $10,000 for the lease and office set up. His work as a copy writer is very lucrative and his catchy words and phrases could fetch 5 figure paychecks for little more than a few hours work. Unfortunately Peter currently did not get enough of the work to save this amount so I developed for him the 3 step trick. This is free car insurance quote online Peter made $10,000 by the end of the week. The fastest and easiest money he ever made!

Step 1) Start at the end result and work your way backwards in your mind. This first step gets your subconscious mind working on the problem. I told him to engage his emotions, to really project himself into next Friday and arouse his mental processes into action. I told him to see himself in his house, at the kitchen table, counting the thick wad of hundred dollar bills, feeling the sense of satisfaction as he fingered each bill.

Step 2) Write down any ideas that initially come to you and keep them in a safe place. However, do NOT do anything for 2 day’s. Let the deep power of your subconscious churn over the conscious wish you placed in it. Collect all the ideas that will get you $10,000 in just a few days.

Step 3) After two days go over each idea and rate it objectively out of 10 and make your choice.

Peter wound up buying a car from the paper for $2000 that was actually worth $14,000 he resold that vehicle for $12,200 and after advertising costs he was indeed left with nearly exactly
$10,000 to the cent!

The Movie Of Sin

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Monday December 3, 2007. That’s the day my life changed, forever. I finally understood what sin leads to, is intended for and where it will take you. Because realize this and realize it quickly! Sin will take you on the worst ride you have ever been on. You may think you have had tragedies in your life, you may think you are going through hard times, but you haven’t seen anything yet! No, you can’t even imagine what the Devil has planned for you and the rest of eternity. You do not even want to begin to wonder about it, because it’s atrocious! You think that there is torture in this world? Well, I’ve got news for you; you have no idea how bad the torture of hell will be!
So, would you like me to share my story of December 3, 2007? It will change your life and you will Wisconsin car insurance the works of the Devil in their true light. A few of years ago I made the biggest mistake in my life. If I would have continued down that road, I would have lost my life, literally.

December 3, 2007, it was just supposed to be another day at work. Just another day of tearing out drywall, hammering nails and just putting in a good days work. Truth be told, I had gotten into a comfort zone. A harsh realization as I look at the clock. 8:15, we the group of laborers are being told what our jobs are for the day. A few are told what they are to do, and hurry off. Four people left, I am in this group of four, who are to be the beneficiaries of bad news.

Our boss has a look of disgust, as he tells us what we are going to be doing. He tells us we are going to a house we had worked on in the summer, one that I had painted. This would not be good news for me, for I would know all the colors, of all the rooms inside of this house. Our boss then proceeds to tell us with a lump in his throat, what the job for our group of four would be. We are to go cleanup a suicide.

The bad news did not stop there though, there was still more to the story to be told. The blood we were to be cleaning up had Hepatitis C in it. Hepatitis C is a disease that will turn your skin yellow, affect your liver and eventually cause liver disease. Now, it had been a few days since the event had happened. The disease was dead and we would in no way be endangered. But still, it was a freighting thought that we were to be dealing with blood that had held a disease in it.
Well, the four of us as you might think were not in the least thrilled to hear the news of what our day held. After hearing what was said, I look over to my co-worker, he is holding his hand over his mouth. It was as if he held it there to keep himself from throwing up. But, he still did not realize what we were about to see.

We arrive at the house at 9:15. We are to meet with this man’s girlfriend, so that she can let us in. 9:30, still no sign of her. That’s ok with this group of four, because we really do not want to do this job. 9:45, still no sign of her. Now this group of four is growing with anticipation, with hopes that maybe she will not come. They start suggesting to each other that maybe we should just go. Time begins to pass and one would think that the nervousness might lessen, in the personal injury law Fort Worth that she might not come. But it only grows. Two in the group smoke and they are both in the same vehicle. The white smoke they are producing billows out of their vehicle. They have now been smoking for just about 45 minutes.

10:00, what we have feared has come true, she has arrived. The group of four gets dressed. We put on full zoot-suits, with rubber gloves that we double up on. We begin to go in by the back door, the smell of the blood and everything else that has been thrown around is horrific. We all go back for respirators. We start back for the door, two go in first and I am the third in the door. The fourth person in the group gets to the door once again and takes a few steps in. He again starts gagging and goes back outside. He can’t do it he says, I just can’t do it. The group is now down to three, our day at this house has now been extended. We will spend even more time taking in the aftermath of what has happened.

I walk in through the back door. The first room is the kitchen, it is not too bad but there is still blood spattered all over the floor. We are to clean this up. It would have been easy except that as this man was losing blood as he had gone through the whole house, throwing whatever he could. So there were all kinds of dishes, foods and other kitchen tools all over the floor. Still I thought, this is not too bad, I just hope this is the worst of it.

I keep walking; the kitchen leads to a hallway. In the hallway I begin to see just how much blood is all over the place. Thank goodness we do not have to clean the walls, just the contents of the house. Because there in the hallway are huge streaks of blood, where this mans arms had hit the walls. From the hallway I go to the bedroom on the right. When I first look in I see only a little bit of blood on one of many mirrors that had been shattered by this man.

As I go further in though, I see there is what used to be a pool of blood on the top of the bed sheets. But the blood had now become hard and was dark in color, almost black. I turn around to start leaving the bedroom and see the light switch I had put up. It now had a finger print of blood on it. A flash goes off in my head, I get a glimpse of a man staggering and turning off the light, in this darkly colored bedroom.

I continue through the house and make my way to the living room. This part of the house is not as bad. All he had done here was throw a few things; breaking the TV in the process. The only blood that was in the room was where he had dripped it in the path that he had walked. I am then told by a fellow co-worker that this event had all started in the downstairs bathroom. I am told not to go down there, but I go despite this warning.

As I make my way downstairs I see there are bloody footsteps and more marks on the walls of the corridor that leads downstairs. I get to the bathroom, the door is shut. Before I open the door I remember what color the bathroom had just been painted, white. As I open the door I do not see any white, no all I see is a dark red, almost brown color. It was blood. It had come when this man had slit his wrists. The blood had gone everywhere, splattering all over the ceiling and all over the sink. The blood covered the floor in all but two spots. They were the two spots this man’s feet had been in when he committed this gruesome act.

I could just feel the pain this man was going through. Another flash goes off in my head; I see a picture of this man just screaming out in hate. Then I followed him as he made his way through the house. He begins to leave the spot of where he has just committed the gruesome act, the place that he has just spilled his blood all over. He steps in his own blood as he makes his way out of the bathroom. He is already beginning to stagger because he has lost a lot of blood, even though the event has just taken place.

He hits one wall then another, of this grimy unfinished laundry room downstairs. He leaves big smears of blood as his wrists hit the wall in an attempt to hold himself up. He is leaving behind the exact trail he is on with the bloody footprints. This is what makes it so real; you can actually see the lines that are in his feet. The film in my head does not end there though; it continues to follow him as he makes his way upstairs.

The man continues walking up the stairs, which are creaking as he goes. I see where he grabbed hold of the hand railing. This print shows just how much blood was coming out of his wrists, because you could clearly see the lines of his hand and finger prints. On the other side of this corridor there is another big streak of where his other wrist had hit the wall; he is struggling just to make it up the stairs.

Then I hear a voice, first I think someone is calling me. No, nobody is calling me; the voice I hear is coming from the film that I am watching in my head. I realize who is speaking now, a demon. I now listen to what he is saying, something I really did not have to do. Because I now realize the demon is screaming out, he is telling this man to just lose a little more blood. Just a little more blood and you’ll be dead! The reality of how much Satan and his demons hate blood sets in. I realize that they hate it so much because there is life in the blood; this is why the demon is screaming out.

The demon knows he is so close to getting this man spend eternity in hell, just so close. Then, instantly the movie that has been playing in my head stops. Someone is calling me back to work. I experienced more flashes in the day, but nothing was as real as the movie that had played in my head. The harsh reality of what Satan intends for everyone set in that day, as it should for you this day.

I understood now what the Devil intends for my life and will be able to accomplish if I choose to walk in sin. He wants me dead, six feet under the ground. Because see he knows when I am six feet under, I’m no longer a problem to him. If you’re in sin today I suggest you get out. Satan doesn’t care who you are. No, all he wants for you is to spend eternity in hell, being tormented right beside him.

Understand that you do not have a choice whether the bars, drugs or girls feel good. The Bible clearly states that if you are in sin, you’re a slave to it (John 8.34). So realize you don’t have a choice whether the things of the world feel good or not. You are being told by the Devil what feels good and what doesn’t feel good. You don’t have any rights!

Now, you maybe saying to yourself I am not in sin, I am a good Christian. Good, keep it that way! But realize how much people need your help. They need to be shown just how much God loves them. It is up to you, because you are part of His body. You are the only Jesus someone may ever see, so make sure it counts.

Don’t just think you are going to walk away from this message either. Don’t think you’re going to on living the life you were before. Because the Devil sacred, you know too much now. He’s worried maybe one day this word I have spoken will grow inside of you.

That maybe you’ll wake-up one day use this as fuel to your fire to defeat him. Because when you actually realize the graphic truth of what the Devil wants for your future. You will hate him with the same passion and anger that I hate with! My life changed Monday December 3, 2007. And now whether you like it or not, you’re life just did too.
